The Power of 52
52 dares. One year. No skipping.
Here’s how it works.
There’s a jar. Inside the jar — 52 slips of paper. Each one is something I’ve avoided, postponed, or flat-out refused to do.
Every week, on-air, I pull one.
The rules are simple and merciless:
One pull a week. What the jar says, goes. No skipping. No substitutions. The audience hears everything.
Some weeks it’s gentle — watch a sunset in silence. Some weeks it’s a massage I kept canceling.
And some weeks the jar says kiss a stranger — and I have to figure out how to survive that with an audience listening.
Why?
Because I turned 61 and decided the list of things I “would never do” had gotten insultingly long.
Because doing it scared is still doing it.
And because you can’t ask your listeners to be brave on Tuesday if you weren’t brave on Monday.
