“The thing I love about Aphrodite is, she’s horribly flawed.
…but she doesn’t let that stop her from being a Goddess.”
-Melissa Allison
When did you forget your power — do you even remember letting it go?
Waking Aphrodite is a movement for the woman who has been so busy living life that she forgot to live her life. It’s an invitation to stop. To ask the question you’ve been too tired — or too afraid — to ask:
Who am I underneath all of this?
Or maybe you daren’t ask — because what if the woman beckoning is actually your truest self?
Here, you do the inventory. You find the pieces you set down because life demanded it. The parts of you that you promised yourself you’d come back for. The dreams you folded up carefully and tucked away. The woman you hoped was still in there, waiting.
She is. And she’s waited long enough.
Some call it a show — others a reckoning. We call it a sacred gathering.
A gathering of Goddesses… and the mortals brave enough to love them. Priestesses sharing — their journey, their alchemy — their truth.
Waking Aphrodite is best described as the Vagina Monologues meets burlesque meets Aphrodite.
A 2-3 minute monologue — raw, real and unapologetic — followed by their
performance of dance, magic or song.
They liberate their stories on the stage — inviting you to witness.
Witness the woman who stopped apologizing for taking up space. The woman navigating postpartum depression in silence. The dream of a Goddess holding her and whispering, “Own it.”
Every gathering, every story is different. Every truth — universal.
It’s about survival, yes. Reclamation, yes.
But mostly it’s about audacity — the audacity to show up anyway.
From the show:
(Coming soon — the hive is buzzing.)
From the workshops:
“I’m so sad it’s over. So many breakthroughs. I want to take it again.”
— Brandy
“I found my inner-self! So amazing.”
— Angela
“I got to learn the path of self love and to honor myself.”
— Jenn
Every gathering, a new set of priestesses answers the call.
These are the Goddesses who answered first.
Every woman who has walked through these doors carried a story.
